> Small Lancaster reunion

Following a similar format to the event in March 2001, but on a smaller scale and less formal, around 30 former and current members descended on Lancaster for another reunion over the weekend of 3rd-4th May 2003.

Kicking off on the Saturday morning, the Bailrigg FM studios were open for visitors and current station members mingled with alumni, some of whom also took the chance to explore the latest in a series of changes to the campus landscape. The afternoon saw another opportunity for former members to spin the wheels-of-steel again, and at the same time thoroughly bemuse the latest generation of students living on campus with their tales of student-life in the 70s/80s/90s* (*delete as appropriate).

According to an email sent to the alumni mailing list in the week preceding the reunion, the line-up of 'old-timers' who were taking to the airwaves on this occasion was:

1pm - Iain McKinnon
2pm - Paul Sinclair
3pm - William, Ben & Tim
4pm - Louis Barfe

As the evening approached, and after the final alumnus had left the 'no alcohol' studio behind, the many campus bars proved a hot-spot for continued reminiscing before the group moved into town. On this occasion the posh nosh of the Lancaster House Hotel was replaced by a buffet meal in The Sultan curry house in the centre of Lancaster, and the remains of the Saturday evening were spent in various pubs, most notably the Waterwitch by the canal. When last orders arrived, those who had not surrendered or fallen by the wayside sampled the delights of the Sugarhouse.
